Donna and her daughter moved to Augusta in July hoping for a fresh start. Although Donna has steady work, they have been unable to secure housing and are living in a hotel. Benefits they applied for have been delayed, and they have had to rely on food banks or whatever Donna can afford on difficult days. She shared that the colder weather has made their need more urgent, and that their needs and wants are nearly the same right now. Donna expressed that they simply want to feel safe, stable, and warm again.
