Family Story and Situation: Shamika shared that she is a two-time breast cancer survivor who lives in constant pain. She is trying to provide for her children, but medical bills continue to pile up and she currently has no medical insurance. Her family recently suffered the loss of their maternal grandmother and paternal grandfather, and the strain of grief, health concerns, and financial pressure has weighed heavily on them. She expressed that she fears the cancer returning and that everyday responsibilities are difficult while she works through pain and limited resources. Shamika simply wants her children to have a joyful Christmas and a moment to smile during an incredibly hard season.
