Family #17 – Dawn A.

Adults in Home:
• Dawn A. (Female, mother, on disability)
• Fiancé (Male, on disability)

Children:
• Gunner, age 6 (Male)

Family Story and Situation:
Dawn shared that both she and her fiancé are on disability and have been struggling since Hurricane Helene. They had to move, find another vehicle, and rebuild stability while continuing to provide for their young son. Last year they spent Christmas in a FEMA-approved motel, and this year is their first attempt at a normal Christmas since the disaster — but recovery has been slow and difficult.
They have reached out to multiple churches, the Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, and other programs, but everything in their area is at full capacity. Dawn expressed that they are grateful for any help and simply want to give their son a Christmas he can enjoy after such a hard season.
