Shekoyah shared that she and her four children recently moved into a new home, hoping for a fresh start. Instead, the financial strain has become overwhelming. With no support from the children’s fathers and the full weight of bills, rent, and groceries falling on her alone, she has struggled to stay afloat.
She told her children they would have a good Christmas, but now fears she cannot keep that promise because they are facing eviction. She said that budgeting has become nearly impossible and groceries are running low. She is simply hoping for a “Christmas miracle” to help stabilize her home and give her kids something to smile about during an already difficult season.
