Family Story and Situation:
Wendy and her husband are facing severe financial hardship. Several years ago, they purchased a used vehicle that turned out to be a “lemon,” and the lingering debt from that situation has followed them ever since. Recently, her husband’s work hours were cut, and now his paycheck is being garnished before they even receive it. This has left the family unable to pay rent or afford Christmas gifts for their two young daughters.
Wendy is 13 weeks pregnant and dealing with health issues while trying to keep their household stable. Rent of $385 was due on the first of the month, and without help, they are facing eviction by December 12. On top of that, they cannot provide even small gifts for their children this Christmas. Wendy shared openly and humbly that they are doing everything they can, but they simply cannot get ahead.

• Help with rent ($385) to avoid eviction
• Basic household items: kids’ plates and cups
• Shoes for her husband (men’s size 13)
• A new couch (current one has significant damage)
