Family #33 – Laura W.

Adults in Home:
• Laura W. (Female)

Children:
• Charley – 8 years (Female)
• Addie – 9 years (Female)

Family Story and Situation:
Laura is a single mother who has been doing everything she can to provide for her daughter, Charley. Earlier this year, tragedy struck a close family friend: Charley’s best friend’s mother was detained and later sent to prison. When Laura learned the little girl was heading into foster care, she stepped in immediately and took her in as her own.

Now raising two girls on a very limited income, Laura has stretched every resource as far as possible. This is the first Christmas Addie will spend without her mother, and Laura deeply wants to make the holiday special for both girls—yet finances have become too tight to give them the Christmas they deserve. She continues to pray, trust God, and do the best she can, hoping for a little help to brighten this hard year for two young girls who have shown incredible resilience.
